Overview

  • Joby delivered its first production S4 eVTOL to Dubai in late June under an exclusive six-year operating contract with the Roads and Transport Authority.
  • Piloted transition flights have demonstrated the all-electric craft’s vertical takeoff, wingborne cruise and precision landing capabilities.
  • The company has initiated the FAA’s Type Inspection Authorization in the United States, marking the final stage before U.S. passenger operations.
  • Four vertiports are planned at Dubai International Airport, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina and downtown to support the 2026 air taxi launch.
  • The S4 seats one pilot and four passengers with a top speed of 200 mph, a 150–160 mile range and noise levels significantly lower than helicopters.
