Overview

  • Joby delivered its first production eVTOL to Dubai in June under a six-year exclusive agreement with the city’s Roads and Transport Authority.
  • The company completed the inaugural piloted test flights of its five-seat, six-rotor air taxi in the emirate late last month.
  • Trials are now underway from four planned vertiports, including Dubai International Airport and Palm Jumeirah.
  • Joby has initiated the FAA’s Type Inspection Authorization, marking the final certification stage before U.S. commercial passenger operations.
  • Its zero-emission aircraft reaches 200 mph, travels about 150 miles per charge and aims to cut the DXB–Palm Jumeirah journey to roughly 12 minutes.
