Joaquin Niemann and Nicolai Hojgaard Receive Special Invitations to 2025 Masters

The Masters extends its tradition of inviting international players, including the first-ever twin competitors, to its April tournament.

  • Joaquin Niemann of LIV Golf and Nicolai Hojgaard of Denmark have accepted special invitations to compete in the 2025 Masters Tournament, scheduled for April 10-13 at Augusta National Golf Club.
  • This marks Niemann's sixth Masters appearance and second consecutive special invitation; he is currently ranked 71st in the world and has consistently made the cut in his last four Masters starts.
  • Hojgaard, ranked 60th in the world, will play in his second Masters after an impressive debut in 2024 where he briefly led during the third round and finished tied for 16th.
  • Nicolai Hojgaard will join his twin brother, Rasmus, marking the first time in Masters history that twins will compete in the same tournament.
  • Augusta National Chairman Fred Ridley emphasized the club’s tradition of inviting global talents not otherwise qualified, continuing efforts to grow international interest in golf.
