'Riot Women' centers on five women who form a punk-rock band, discovering they have much to express through their music.
The show explores themes of friendship, personal change, and the challenges of middle age, including demanding jobs, grown-up children, and complicated relationships.
A deeply buried secret threatens to unravel the band's unity, particularly affecting the characters Kitty and Beth.
The six-part series is set in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, and will premiere on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the UK, and BritBox International in the US and Canada.
