Overview
- The election process opens on October 24 with the tentative voters’ list and a same-day correction window from 9 am to 5 pm.
- Nomination forms will be issued on October 25, filings accepted on October 27 from 9:30 am to 5 pm, with valid nominations posted at 10 am on October 28, withdrawals from 2 pm to 5 pm, the final list at 7 pm and a press briefing at 8 pm.
- School General Body Meetings are scheduled for October 29–31, the University GBM for November 1 at 6 pm and the presidential debate for November 2 at 8 pm, with November 3 designated a no-campaign day.
- Polling on November 4 will run in two shifts from 9 am to 1 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, vote counting will begin at 9 pm and final results are slated for November 6.
- The schedule, signed by Election Committee chairperson Ravi Kant, follows the university’s creation of a grievance redressal cell and comes after last year’s central panel split in which Left-backed groups won three posts and ABVP took joint secretary.
