Overview

  • The Students’ Union officially called off its indefinite hunger strike after the administration accepted all four of its major demands.
  • A committee including school-level faculty and elected student councillors will be formed to evaluate the reinstatement of the JNU Entrance Examination.
  • The university has withdrawn the contested undertaking form for PhD hostel extensions and will now grant accommodations based on Research Advisory Committee recommendations.
  • The registrar will formally write to the Ministry of Education to request an increase in the Means-cum-Merit fellowship stipend and has disbanded the rationalisation committee on scholarship matters.
  • Vice-Chancellor Santishree D. Pandit has assured that appeals seeking revocation of pending proctorial inquiries will be duly considered.
