JMPD Sets Road Closures and Transport Plan for Travis Scott’s Johannesburg Show on Saturday

The FNB Stadium stop is the tour’s first in Africa.

Overview

  • Full road closures around the FNB Stadium precinct begin at 11:00 a.m. on 11 October, affecting Soweto Highway, Golden Highway, Nasrec Road and Booysens Reserve Road, with access limited to authorised vehicles.
  • Gates open at 4:00 p.m. and the show is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m., with officials urging early arrival, especially for VIP and hospitality ticket holders.
  • Park-and-ride services with return shuttles will operate from Sandton City, Montecasino, Cresta Shopping Centre, Menlyn Park and Mall of Africa.
  • Gautrain services will run more frequently with connections to the stadium precinct, and designated Drop & Go zones will manage e-hailing pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Promoters are touting the concert as one of South Africa’s biggest international music events of 2025, as Travis Scott hypes the Johannesburg date on social media.
