Overview
- Jaguar Land Rover reported Q3 FY26 wholesales down 43.3% year on year to 59,200 vehicles and retail sales down 25.1% to 79,600.
- Wholesale declines were broad-based, led by North America (-64.4%), Europe (-47.6%) and China (-46%), with the UK down 0.9%, while retail fell across all regions including North America (-37.7%) and Europe (-26.9%).
- JLR said volumes were further pressured by the planned wind-down of legacy Jaguar models ahead of a new launch and by incremental US tariffs on exports.
- Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender accounted for 74.3% of Q3 wholesales, up from 70.3% a year earlier, underscoring a concentrated model mix.
- Shares of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles fell roughly 2.5%–4% in Tuesday trade, and JLR had previously posted a near-£500m loss in Q2 FY26 as authorities and the company arranged financing support.
