  • After four deaths and about 90 injuries in Leh during shutdown clashes, Ladakh Lt Governor Kavinder Gupta led fresh security reviews, urged vigilance and credited residents for restraint during limited curfew relaxations.

  • Following the review, Sinha ordered 12 sites to reopen from September 29, including Aru Valley, Rafting Point Yanner, Akkad Park and Kaman Post in Kashmir, and Dagan Top, Dhaggar and Shiv Cave in Jammu.
