J&K Police Attach Land of Pakistan-Based Terror Handler Under UAPA in Poonch

Police say the UAPA action targets the finances that sustain cross-border militancy in the PoonchRajouri sector.

Overview

  • The attachment stems from FIR No. 194/2024 at Police Station Gursai and covers agricultural land in Nar village, Nakka Majhari, Mendhar.
  • The seized parcel measures four marlas and two sarsai and was valued by authorities at about ₹10 lakh.
  • Police identify the owner as Rafiq Nai, known as Sultan, described as a Pakistan-based handler and launching commander for Tahreek-ul-Mujahideen/Jammu Kashmir Ghaznavi Force.
  • Officials say Nai is a designated individual terrorist linked to at least nine FIRs and accused of facilitating infiltration as well as narcotics and weapons smuggling.
  • The action was executed by a joint team from Mendhar police station and the Revenue Department, which officials present as part of a broader effort to dismantle support networks.
