• Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said the strictest possible action will be taken against those who, in his words, speak the language of separatists and terrorists or insult martyrs.
• He asserted that Jammu and Kashmir is saturated with the sacrifices of J-K Police, the Army and CAPFs and warned that anyone who disrespects India’s sovereignty or police martyrs will not be spared.
• Sinha saluted the service of security personnel and said preserving the memories of martyrs is a responsibility shared by the forces and the public.
• He praised the J-K Police’s Civic Action Programme for youth empowerment, interacted with players and presented trophies and cash awards.
• J-K Bank beat Kashmir Avengers FC to win the 20th J&K Police Martyrs’ Memorial Football Tournament, attended by DGP Nalin Prabhat and other senior officials.
