Jiri Lehecka Claims First ATP Title in Adelaide International

Lehecka Defeats Jack Draper in Final, Both Set to Climb in World Rankings

  • Jiri Lehecka won his first ATP Tour title by defeating Jack Draper 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 at the Adelaide International in Australia.
  • Lehecka, the seventh seed, will reach a career high No. 23 in the world rankings when they are released Monday.
  • Draper, who was also seeking his maiden tour title, showed a strong performance throughout the tournament and is expected to reach at least world No 54.
  • Both Lehecka and Draper are 22 years old and were playing in their second ATP finals.
  • Lehecka will play Bernabe Zapata Miralles of Spain in the first round of the Australian Open while Draper will play Marcos Giron of the United States.
