Overview
- JioStar announced on Monday that six regional editions of Bigg Boss — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bangla — will premiere together from September 2026 on the JioStar TV network and JioHotstar.
- The host roster confirmed by the company includes Salman Khan for the Hindi edition and regional stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal, with former India captain Sourav Ganguly debuting as the Bangla host.
- To mark the expansion, JioStar released a coffee-table book titled "India’s Bigg Reality" that documents the franchise’s two-decade journey and presents audience data and brand case studies.
- JioStar cited 2025 metrics to justify the strategy, saying Bigg Boss reached over 500 million viewers, delivered more than 438 billion viewing minutes, generated billions of votes and recorded millions of live chats and social engagements.
- Operational details that remain to be announced include exact premiere dates for each edition, contestant lists, episode schedules and the specific advertising packages brands can buy.
