Overview
- Regulatory and investor steps are now in place after SEBI’s final observations on August 28 and completed overseas roadshows, and Jio is preparing to file final IPO papers in the week starting October 12 with a public subscription window likely between October 21–23.
- Reports place the fresh-issue size at about USD 3.8 billion and target an enterprise valuation near USD 143–146 billion, with the draft prospectus proposing up to 27 crore new shares or roughly 2.9% of post-issue equity.
- A large portion of the offer proceeds will be used to repay or prepay roughly ₹27,500 crore of Reliance Jio Infocomm debt, with the balance for general corporate purposes.
- Jio’s FY2026 results underpin the listing case: revenue of about ₹1,46,885 crore, profit after tax near ₹30,049 crore, a 524.4 million customer base, roughly 268 million 5G subscribers and about 27.1 million fixed wireless (AirFiber) connections.
- Company-led roadshows in the US, UK, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore led by Akash and Isha Ambani reportedly drew strong foreign institutional interest, but final pricing and allocation will hinge on the announced price band, anchor demand and market conditions which will determine the listing outcome.
