Jimmy Carter makes rare public appearance at Georgia festival days before turning 99

Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn attended the Plains Peanut Festival in Georgia.
Carter entered hospice care in February after facing various health issues including cancer.
Rosalynn Carter has been diagnosed with dementia but still recognizes family.
Carter will turn 99 years old on October 1st and is the longest living president.
The Carters have been married for 77 years, the longest of any presidential couple.
