Jim Dreyer Halts Lake Michigan Swim Attempt

The 60-year-old swimmer ended his 83-mile journey halfway due to adverse conditions.

Jim Dreyer, known as 'The Shark,' began his swim from Grand Haven to Milwaukee on Tuesday.
He turned back near the Wisconsin-Michigan maritime boundary on Thursday, returning to shore by boat.
Dreyer previously swam across Lake Michigan in 1998 and has attempted the feat multiple times since.
Supporters confirmed Dreyer is uninjured and in good health after ending his latest attempt.
This swim was part of Dreyer's ongoing efforts to conquer long-distance swims in the Great Lakes.
