• Authorities have completed demarcation and fencing for the proposed Rs 1,000-crore RIMS-2 site in Nagri and imposed BNSS Section 163 orders within a 200-metre radius for two months, banning gatherings, weapons and loudspeakers.
• Ranchi police confined Champai Soren to his residence hours before the planned ploughing demonstration, saying the measure was necessary to maintain law and order.
