Overview

  • Prof. (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar and Senior Advocate Dr. Abhishek M. Singhvi launched the forum to deepen academic and legal ties between India and Japan.
  • The Singhvi Centre’s vision statement was unveiled alongside a panel on Universities of the Future, focusing on democratic values, dialogue and regional development.
  • Agreements were inked with Asia University, Chuo University, Doshisha University, Osaka Gakuin University and Kansai University to enable student exchanges and joint research.
  • The delegation inaugurated the Japan-India Sustainability Conclave, released JGU’s 2025 Sustainability Development Report and held a panel on governance frameworks for biodiversity and green innovation.
  • Dr. Raj Kumar is set to address the Japanese Diet on June 24 after delivering lectures at Temple University Japan and participating in a Kyoto University seminar on climate litigation.
