Jets Interview Mike Vrabel and Rex Ryan for Head Coaching Position

The New York Jets are actively pursuing candidates to fill their head coaching vacancy, including former Titans coach Mike Vrabel and ex-Jets coach Rex Ryan.

Mike Vrabel, former Titans head coach and 2021 NFL Coach of the Year, interviewed with the Jets on Friday as they search for a new head coach.
Rex Ryan, who led the Jets to their last playoff appearances in 2009 and 2010, is scheduled to interview for the position on Tuesday, marking a potential return to the team he coached from 2009-2014.
The Jets also interviewed former Washington and Carolina head coach Ron Rivera earlier this week as part of their ongoing search.
The team is seeking to replace Robert Saleh, who was fired in October after a 2-3 start, and interim coach Jeff Ulbrich, who has gone 2-9 heading into the season finale.
With a 14-season playoff drought, the Jets face significant pressure to make the right hire, with additional candidates expected to emerge as the hiring cycle progresses.
