Jets Hire Darren Mougey as General Manager

The New York Jets have selected Darren Mougey, the Denver Broncos' assistant GM, as their new general manager following an extensive search process.
Mougey, 39, has spent his entire executive career with the Broncos, rising through the ranks since joining as a scouting intern in 2012.
The Jets initially appeared poised to hire Commanders assistant GM Lance Newmark, but ultimately pivoted after conducting second interviews with Mougey and Bengals executive Trey Brown.
This marks the Jets' second major hire of the week, following the appointment of Aaron Glenn, a former Lions defensive coordinator, as their head coach.
