Jets GM Darren Mougey Overhauls Front Office With Key Firings

New York Jets part ways with two senior executives and strength coach as Mougey begins reshaping the organization.

Darren Mougey, the newly appointed GM of the New York Jets, has fired Greg Nejmeh, co-director of player personnel, and David Socie, senior director of football administration.
Greg Nejmeh had been with the Jets for 16 years, while David Socie served as the team's chief contract negotiator since 2018.
Head strength and conditioning coach Mike Nicolini, who joined the Jets in 2021, has also been let go as part of the changes.
The moves mark the beginning of a significant front office overhaul, with analysts predicting further changes after the 2025 NFL Draft in April.
Phil Savage, who served as interim GM after Joe Douglas's departure, remains with the organization in a consultant role.
