Jets Begin Search for New General Manager with Key Interviews

Former Titans GM Jon Robinson and ESPN analyst Louis Riddick are among the first candidates to be interviewed for the Jets' GM vacancy.

The New York Jets have started interviewing candidates for their general manager position, which became vacant after Joe Douglas was fired on November 19, 2024.
Former Tennessee Titans GM Jon Robinson is scheduled to interview this week, while ESPN analyst and former NFL executive Louis Riddick is expected to interview in the coming weeks.
Robinson, who led the Titans to four playoff appearances during his tenure, is noted for drafting stars like Derrick Henry and A.J. Brown but faced criticism for some failed draft picks and the trade of Brown to the Eagles.
Riddick, who has extensive front-office experience with the Eagles and Commanders, has previously interviewed for multiple GM roles and has been with ESPN as an analyst since 2013.
The Jets are conducting an expansive search for both a GM and head coach, with assistance from consultants including former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum and former Vikings GM Rick Spielman.
