Overview
- JetBlue Flight 1230, an Airbus A320-232 registered N605JB, diverted to Tampa from its Cancun–Newark route after a midair loss of altitude.
- The aircraft landed at Tampa International Airport at about 2 p.m. local time, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
- Medical teams met the flight on arrival, several passengers and crew were evaluated, and some were transported to a hospital for further care.
- The FAA said it is investigating the incident and has not yet determined what caused the altitude loss.
