JetBlue Cuts U.S. and European Routes in Profitability Push

The airline is eliminating underperforming routes, including flights from New York, Miami, and San Jose, as it restructures its network for 2025.

JetBlue is discontinuing several domestic routes in 2025, including flights from New York's JFK to Miami, Austin, and Houston, as well as all services from San Jose, California.
The airline will also reduce transatlantic offerings, dropping its JFK-London Gatwick route and scaling back JFK-Paris flights during the summer season.
JetBlue cited financial losses in certain markets, including Miami, where competition from larger carriers has hindered profitability post-pandemic.
The company plans to redeploy resources, such as its Mint business class service, to higher-demand markets and new opportunities to improve financial performance.
These changes come as JetBlue faces challenges like grounded aircraft due to Pratt & Whitney engine issues and the collapse of its Spirit Airlines merger attempt.
