Overview

  • The Blue Sky agreement announced on May 29, 2025 lets MileagePlus and TrueBlue members earn and redeem miles on most flights operated by either carrier.
  • Each airline will display and sell partner flights on its website and app, with key features expected to begin this fall if regulators approve.
  • JetBlue will grant United up to seven daily round-trip slots at JFK starting in 2027, and both carriers will exchange eight flight timings at Newark Liberty International Airport.
  • Elite status flyers on both airlines will receive reciprocal perks including priority boarding, free first checked bags, preferred seating and same-day flight changes.
  • United will move nonflight services such as hotels, rental cars and cruises onto JetBlue’s Paisly platform while both carriers retain independent control over scheduling and pricing.
