Jesús María’s 60th Festival Presses On After Rainout as Crowds Pack Opening Nights

Organizers kept ceremonies on track after the rainout by shifting the inaugural acts to Jan. 9.

Overview

  • The originally scheduled opening night on Thursday, Jan. 8, was definitively canceled due to heavy rains and will not be rescheduled.
  • The Acto Inaugural and Desfile Unión de los Pueblos moved to Friday, Jan. 9, which drew more than 25,000 people and featured Los Palmeras and Q’ Lokura.
  • Saturday’s second night proceeded with improved weather and a sold‑out crowd of about 26,000 as Los Nocheros and Abel Pintos headlined an extended program.
  • The 60th edition runs from Jan. 9 to 18 with eleven consecutive nights, bringing headliners such as Soledad Pastorutti, Luciano Pereyra, Jorge Rojas, El Chaqueño Palavecino and Los Manseros Santiagueños.
  • Daily timing includes doors at 18:00, field events from 19:00 and national TV coverage from 22:00 on TV Pública, with Sunday’s bill led by Lázaro Caballero, Christian Herrera, Lucas Sugo, Campedrinos and Magui Olave.
