Jesús María Festival Unveils Security Plan as 60th Edition Approaches Capacity on Key Nights

Organizers detail a multi-agency security operation with on-site weather tracking to manage large crowds.

Overview

  • More than 91,000 advance tickets have been sold, and the Chaqueño Palavecino night is close to filling the 25,000-capacity Anfiteatro José Hernández.
  • The festival runs Jan. 9–18 with an official opening on Friday, featuring headliners including Los Nocheros on Jan. 10 and Jorge Rojas on Jan. 17.
  • Provincial police will deploy foot teams and special units for preventive patrols, access control and pre-dawn searches, supported by over 40 motorcycles, mobile units and mounted officers.
  • The Patrulla Rural and Policía Caminera will manage city access and remote areas, with a mobile holding cell on site for detainees.
  • Municipal operations will add exterior bath facilities and hydration posts from midday, use the Ojos en Alerta program, and mobilize roughly 1,000 personnel nightly across about 15 institutions.
