Glynne revealed she was 'deeply unhappy' in the music industry and considered quitting after receiving death threats and facing a backlash over a transphobic slur she used in 2021.
The singer was 'really burnt out' and hospitalised for exhaustion after her 2019 world tour, and the deaths of her grandmother and a close friend left her 'scared to go back into the studio'.
In 2022, Glynne signed with Roc Nation, the US entertainment company founded by rapper Jay-Z, after feeling restricted and controlled in her previous contract.
