Jesper Sorensen Named Vancouver Whitecaps Head Coach

The former Danish midfielder brings extensive coaching experience and a reputation for adaptability to the MLS club.

Jesper Sorensen, 51, has signed a two-year contract to lead the Vancouver Whitecaps as head coach.
Sorensen previously coached Brondby IF in Denmark's Superliga, achieving a 37-19-17 record over two seasons.
He also served as head coach of Denmark's U-21 national team and played over 300 matches as a midfielder in Denmark's top league.
Sorensen replaces Vanni Sartini, who was dismissed in November after three seasons with the Whitecaps and a first-round playoff exit last year.
Whitecaps sporting director Axel Schuster praised Sorensen's leadership, tactical flexibility, and ability to develop players as key to the team's growth.
