Jenny Slate, Colleen Hoover Among Those Deposed as Discovery Closes in Lively–Baldoni Case

The case moves to a December hearing following the close of discovery, with high-profile depositions now complete.

Overview

  • Discovery closed on Oct. 10 in the dispute stemming from Blake Lively’s sexual harassment and retaliation allegations against Justin Baldoni, which he denies.
  • Depositions included Lively, Baldoni, author Colleen Hoover, and actors Jenny Slate and Isabela Ferrer; former agent Danny Greenberg also testified and later clarified his “extortion-like” remark was not a criminal accusation.
  • Several of Baldoni’s team members were questioned, including producer Jamey Heath, publicist Jennifer Abel, crisis publicist Melissa Nathan, financier Steve Sarowitz, PR adviser Jed Wallace and a Street Relations representative.
  • Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift were not deposed, according to sources familiar with the proceedings.
  • A hearing is scheduled for Dec. 16, with trial set for March 2026, after a judge dismissed Baldoni’s defamation and extortion claims in June.
