Overview
- Jeep revealed the JL-2A this week as the 11th monthly drop in its Twelve 4 Twelve series, presenting the package as a modern tribute to the 1945 Willys CJ-2A.
- The JL-2A is offered only as a package on the Wrangler Rubicon with an MSRP of $4,995, which Jeep says is about $115 more than a similarly equipped Rubicon.
- Exterior changes include two-door Gobi and four-door ’41 paint choices, Joose-painted 17-inch retro wheels wrapped in 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 tires, orange front and rear tow hooks, body-color fender flares, and a Dark Metallic Grey grille.
- Inside the JL-2A, Jeep fits exclusive Nappa Heritage Tan and Bison Brown materials with Desert Orange stitching, a Willys-Overland satin chrome shifter medallion and a commemorative swing-gate plaque, and it adds the Convenience Group and a front TrailCam as standard package content.
- Jeep is using the JL-2A and other Twelve 4 Twelve drops to draw buyers with heritage styling rather than mechanical changes, and orders for the JL-2A are set to open in October, which could boost Rubicon sales for the penultimate series release.
