Jeep Recalls 123,396 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs for Detaching Quarter-Window Trim

Interim owner notices start mid-November pending a repair.

Overview

  • The new safety campaign covers 2022–2024 model-year Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs after reports of rear quarter-window trim detaching and creating a road hazard.
  • Jeep has not identified a fix and will send interim letters to owners around November 14–19, with a second notice to follow once a remedy is ready.
  • The investigation, opened in May, tallied 1,710 warranty claims, three customer assistance records, one field report, and 40 service records, with no injuries reported.
  • Jeep estimates about 9% of the 123,396 vehicles may have the defect, and VIN lookup information is slated to go live on NHTSA’s site on October 2 as dealers are notified.
  • The action follows a separate mid-September recall of 163,735 2022–2025 SUVs for door trim detachment that has a dealer inspection-and-replacement remedy with owner notices expected by October 31.
