Jeep Driver Killed in Fiery Head-On Crash With Semi on Hwy. 95 in North Branch Township

Officials say the crash remains under investigation, with the victim’s name to be released after family notification.

The collision happened just before 9 p.m. Monday near Hornsby Road Northeast, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
A westbound Jeep Patriot crossed into the eastbound lane and struck a Mack semi-truck head-on.
The Jeep was fully engulfed in flames on impact, and the Jeep’s driver died at the scene.
The semi-truck driver is a 53-year-old man from Pine River, and no additional injuries were reported.
Authorities report no passengers were in either vehicle, and more details are expected later this week.
