Thitikul's victory earned her a record-setting $4 million first-place prize, the largest in women's golf history, surpassing payouts from most men's major championships.
The decisive moment came on the 18th hole, where Thitikul sank a birdie putt after Yin narrowly missed hers, sealing the win.
Thitikul also secured a $1 million bonus earlier in the week through the Aon Risk-Reward Challenge, bringing her total earnings for the week to $5 million.
Angel Yin, who overcame a leg injury earlier in the year, finished second and took home a $1 million runner-up prize, while Lydia Ko placed third at 17 under par.
