JCPS Report Card Shows Record Graduation, Higher Readiness, More Schools in CSI

Overview

• Jefferson County Public Schools received an overall orange rating across grade bands, while Kentucky overall landed in the yellow category.
• The district’s graduation rate reached a record 89.2%, with Black students at 90.8% and a gap of about 0.1 percentage points from white students.
• Postsecondary readiness rose to 84%, extending a three-year upward trend.
• Overall proficiency ticked up by one point in reading, social studies and writing, and by two points in math, with middle schools showing the strongest gains.
• The number of JCPS schools classified as CSI increased to 41 from 34 in 2022, with annual identification now required under House Bill 298 and targeted supports planned for those campuses.
