Jaydon Dureau Signs One-Year AHL Contract With Manitoba Moose

Set to vie for a roster spot in a crowded forward group, Dureau may attend the Jets’ training camp on a PTO before reporting to Manitoba’s camp in September.

Overview

  • Dureau became an unrestricted free agent on July 1 after the Tampa Bay Lightning declined to qualify him.
  • He posted 29 points in 32 games for the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears in 2024–25 but managed only seven points in 36 AHL games with the Syracuse Crunch.
  • The one-year pact gives Dureau a shot at securing a full-time AHL role after three seasons split between the AHL and ECHL.
  • Winnipeg’s Jets have 13 forwards under contract for Manitoba plus four more on AHL deals, creating stiff competition for Dureau’s playing time.
  • If he fails to make the Moose roster, Dureau is expected to report to Winnipeg’s ECHL affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.
