Overview

• Controlled discharge reached about 1.03 lakh cusec from Jayakwadi and 1.15 lakh cusec from Majalgaon on Tuesday morning.
• Officials reported a flood-like situation along the Godavari in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna and Beed with several villages affected.
• Heavy rainfall since Monday night hit key catchments, including Javlala 160 mm and Ramoda 120 mm near Majalgaon, and Gangapur 46 mm, Paithan 92 mm, Bhendala 52 mm near Jayakwadi.
• The two reservoirs were near capacity with continuous inflows, prompting ongoing, controlled releases to manage levels.
• Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed the Water Resources Department to coordinate with MKVDC, GMIDC and district collectors as parts of Solapur and Marathwada reported heavy rain.
