Despite not having performed at a Halftime Show, JAY-Z has previously performed before the Super Bowl in 2011, earning him a Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Composition/Direction/Lyrics.
JAY-Z and Hamish Hamilton recently won an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special for their work on Rihanna's 2023 Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show.
