- Blades appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Friday, charged by West Mercia Police following an investigation initiated in May.
- The allegations involve Blades' estranged wife, Lisa Zbozen, who announced their separation on Instagram in early May.
- In response to the charges, the BBC has removed episodes featuring Blades from its TV schedules and will not currently air any of his shows.
- Blades, who was made an MBE in 2021, has also resigned from his position as chancellor at Buckinghamshire New University.
