Javier Mascherano Named Inter Miami Head Coach After Tata Martino's Exit

The appointment reunites Mascherano with former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets, all now playing for Inter Miami.
Team owner Jorge Mas acknowledged that Messi influenced the decision to hire Mascherano, who has signed a three-year contract with the MLS club.
Mascherano faces significant challenges, including preparing the team for the expanded Club World Cup in 2025, hosted in the United States, after their early playoff exit this season.
