- Javier "Chicharito" Hernández will not return to the LA Galaxy next season as his contract has ended, leaving open a designated roster spot for 2024.
- Chicharito scored 39 goals and provided six assists in 71 starts out of 82 career games for the LA Galaxy, ranking seventh in the club's history with 38 goals in 74 regular-season appearances.
- The striker's last match for the Galaxy was in June, in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal against Real Salt Lake, after which he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee.
- During his time with the Galaxy, Chicharito was a two-time MLS All-Star, the club’s Golden Boot winner in 2021 and 2022, and its humanitarian of the year in 2022.
