Javier Bardem to Lead 'Cape Fear' Series on Apple TV+

Javier Bardem will star as Max Cady in a new Apple TV+ series adaptation of 'Cape Fear', a role previously played by Robert Mitchum and Robert De Niro.
The series is based on John D. MacDonald’s novel 'The Executioners' and the subsequent film adaptations, promising a tense, Hitchcockian thriller.
Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg are among the executive producers, with Scorsese having directed the acclaimed 1991 film version.
Nick Antosca, known for true crime dramas, will serve as the showrunner and writer for the 10-episode series.
The story follows attorneys Amanda and Steve Bowden as they face danger from a criminal from their past, exploring America's fascination with true crime.
