Overview

  • Sangha will plead to five federal counts that include maintaining a drug premises, three ketamine distribution counts, and one distribution count resulting in death or serious bodily injury.
  • Prosecutors say she sold Perry 25 vials of ketamine for $6,000 in cash four days before he died, and the medical examiner determined he died from the acute effects of ketamine.
  • She has been detained since August 2024 and is expected to formally change her plea in the coming weeks; she faces up to 45 years in prison, with prosecutors indicating they will seek less than the maximum.
  • Agents raided her North Hollywood home in March 2024 and seized ketamine and methamphetamine, and her plea admits a separate 2019 sale linked to Cody McLaury’s overdose as other charges are set to be dismissed.
  • With her agreement, all co-defendants have pleaded guilty: Dr. Mark Chavez is set for sentencing on Sept. 17, Erik Fleming on Nov. 12, Kenneth Iwamasa on Nov. 19, and Dr. Salvador Plasencia on Dec. 3.
