Jason Ritter Joins Cast of HBO's DC Series 'Lanterns'

Jason Ritter has been cast in a recurring role as Billy Macon in the HBO series 'Lanterns,' based on DC's Green Lantern characters.
Billy Macon is described as a charming but ego-driven individual who follows his father William Macon, played by Garret Dillahunt, a conspiracy-minded and ambitious figure with a hidden dark side.
'Lanterns' stars Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan, two Green Lantern Corps members investigating a murder in the American heartland.
The series, co-created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King, will consist of eight episodes and is part of James Gunn's broader DC Studios vision.
Production began in February 2025, with the first two episodes directed by James Hawes and additional direction by Stephen Williams, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Alik Sakharov.
