Janis Joplin's 1920s Pool Table Up for Auction

Janis Joplin's 1920s-era Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co. Monarch Cushion 9' pool table is up for auction on her 81st birthday.
The pool table, which Joplin kept in her Larkspur, California home since 1969, has remained in the same room since her death in 1970.
The starting bid for the pool table is $2,500, with expectations that it will fetch between $10,000 and $20,000.
Joplin, a lifelong billiards lover, was photographed playing on the table for the August 6, 1970, issue of Rolling Stone, a copy of which is included in the auction lot.
In November, Julien's auctioned off a ring once belonging to Joplin for $76,200.
