Jane Seymour Evacuates Malibu Home as Franklin Fire Threatens Area

The actress praised firefighters for saving her property as the wildfire burned over 4,000 acres, forcing evacuations across Malibu.

Jane Seymour evacuated her Malibu home late Monday night as the Franklin Fire approached within inches of her property.
The 73-year-old actress left with only the clothes she was wearing and a few cherished items, including books her mother saved during World War II.
The Franklin Fire has burned over 4,000 acres, destroying 14 buildings and damaging 13 others, with fire crews working to contain the blaze.
Seymour praised firefighters for their heroic efforts, crediting them with saving her home and many others in the area.
Other Malibu residents, including Dick Van Dyke and Cher, were also forced to evacuate as the fast-moving wildfire spread through the community.
