Overview

• The Directorate of School Education Jammu set Summer Zone hours at 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for October, shifting to 9:30 am to 3:30 pm from November.
• Jammu Division’s Winter Zone schools will operate 9:30 am to 3:30 pm starting October 1.
• Schools within Jammu Municipal Corporation limits and nearby urban areas will continue with a 9:00 am to 3:00 pm schedule.
• The Directorate of School Education Kashmir ordered new hours effective October 3, with Srinagar municipal schools running 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and schools outside municipal areas and other districts set at 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• Both orders cover government and recognised private institutions and warn that deviations will invite action under rules in vogue.
