Jammu and Kashmir Launches Youth Ski Training Across Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Doodhpathri

The program aims to train 500 to 600 students aged 12 to 18 this year to strengthen winter tourism.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah virtually inaugurated the 14-day Integrated Ski Training Course on Tuesday.
Initial batches have started with 32 trainees in Gulmarg and 25 in Sonamarg as the rollout begins.
The course covers foundational skills including gliding, snow ploughing and turns, leading to certified basic training.
Abdullah unveiled the 2026 calendars of the Tourism Department and the J&K Cable Car Corporation at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu.
He launched the Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir website, a single-window portal linking allied agencies to publicise events, maintain archives and provide comprehensive visitor information.
