Overview

  • The web portal, developed by the Home Department with the National Informatics Centre, centralizes district-wise data on families affected by terrorism across Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Divisional helplines established in Jammu (0191-2478995) and Kashmir (0194-2487777) allow victims’ families to register overlooked or pending claims for relief, ex-gratia payments and compassionate appointments.
  • Special Monitoring Cells formed in the offices of the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police will review case status, identify processing delays and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Automated fraud filters and property encroachment tracking have been integrated into the system to prevent bogus or duplicate claims while ensuring legitimate cases are addressed.
  • Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has committed to personally oversee all redressal processes and fast-track FIR registrations, compensation disbursements and government jobs for terror victims’ next of kin.
