Overview

• Over 15 lakh national flags have been pre-distributed to Self-Help Groups, panchayats and urban local bodies ahead of the August 2–15 campaign.
• A dedicated ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ portal is now live to capture real-time uploads and assemble a virtual wall of citizen participation.
• District collectors have finalized three-phase rollout plans and issued directives for flag hoisting, building illumination and security measures.
• A concurrent week-long Swachhta drive and cultural activities—such as Rangoli competitions, Tiranga Rakhi workshops and bike rallies—are slated in every district.
• The campaign will culminate in large-scale Independence Day celebrations under the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bhara’ theme in Jammu and Srinagar.
